We hope everyone had a fabulous summer and are looking forward to the London Meeting. We would like to introduce ourselves (co-chairs) and provide a brief update.  Michael-Alice Moga is a double-boarded cardiac intensivist currently working at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and Melina Handley is a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner in the CICU at Seattle Children’s Hospital and is currently completing her Doctorate of Nursing at Vanderbilt University.

We both believe the QI-S committee plays a vital role within the PCICS community and have created a committee structure made up of three sub-committees: Education, Research & Development and Outreach & Resources.  Our overall mission is to be a resource for the wide breadth of quality and safety science.  From fostering a local team through a tricky improvement project to bringing advanced, cutting edge quality and safety science to Society meetings, we want to bring value to our community and patients.  We look forward to activating our committee at the London Meeting.

Please look for chances to be involved in future communications and feel free to reach out to us with any questions or ideas!
