The PCICS APP Curriculum subcommittee has completed five curriculum review courses (didactic, simulation, or combination courses) since December 2017. Most recently, a didactic review course was held in Miami prior to the 2018 PCICS meeting. As with previous courses, it was sold out and participant feedback was positive.
Stay tuned for the exciting 2019 PCICS APP Curriculum events:
- Partnership with Children’s Heartlink for an international APP Curriculum course at IJN in Malaysia, which will take place February 18-22, 2019
- A combination course (didactic + simulation) will be hosted at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital on April 22-24, 2019. Registration is anticipated to open mid-January on www.pcics.org
- The PCICS APP Curriculum exam, which has been developed in collaboration with the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, is currently undergoing pilot testing and is anticipated to be available to interested participants in spring of 2019
- Two additional courses are being coordinated at interested hosting locations in the U.S. for late summer and fall of 2019. Details and registration will be available on www.pcics.org
